Bob Olson: What label or
description do you give yourself when a stranger asks
what you do for work?
Pat McKenna: I have always
called myself a psychic medium. I was given the metaphor
that I was a straw, because I received from above and
gave down below. My objective is always to give the
information as purely as possible.
Bob Olson: When did you first recognize that you
had this gift?
Pat McKenna: I had
to recognize this gift when I started my thirty-first
year. I had so many experiences no one could explain. I
then also realized how I always had this inner
communication and thought everyone also had it since
birth.
Bob Olson: When did you begin doing this work
professionally?
Pat McKenna: I started
doing this work in my thirty-first year; I am sixty-five
now.
Bob Olson: Have you had any formal training or
instruction for this work?
Pat McKenna: I have never
had any formal training. My frustration was that at that
time in the United States (1971) where I lived there
were no self help books and I did even order books from
England, but they also gave no instruction. I then
choose to live in complete trust of the information.
Bob Olson: What other educational degrees,
certifications or learned skills do you have that help
you in this work?
Pat McKenna: I
am also a psychotherapist which I received the best
training for in a wholistic setting with the best role
models and therapists available. I also have twelve
years of therapy under my belt.
Bob Olson: What is your intention or motivation
for doing this work?
Pat McKenna: My
intention is to teach others that we have another higher
side of ourselves, our spirit and that connection is our
guidance, our hope, our power, and will lead us into the
only place we need to be--living in joy and love toward
all.
Bob Olson: What do you find most fulfilling about
this work that you do ?
Pat McKenna: What I find
the most fulfilling is giving the messages about the
person to bring clarity, healing and empowerment.
Bob Olson: How long do your
readings last and why did you choose this length of
time?
Pat McKenna: My readings
last one hour and I did not choose that timing--the
guides did.
Bob Olson: What can one expect during a normal
reading with you?
Pat McKenna: A normal
reading will cover attitudes before birth, after birth,
guidance in their present life, relationship, work,
money, spiritual, physical, emotional, mental
patterns, diagnostic work, messages from guides or love
ones, and forecasting. I answer questions during the
reading regarding all of the above in great specificity.
Bob Olson: How is a reading
with you "similar" to what people see on TV
when John Edward gives a reading on his show
"Crossing Over With John Edward?"
Pat McKenna: My reading is
not similar to anyone. In fact, I would like to give
myself a reading because it is so specific and strong in
healing attitudes. Of course I do receive daily
guidance because I ask questions of my guides and angels
all the time.
Bob Olson: What instructions do
you give new clients before a reading?
Pat McKenna: I tell them I
will give them two overviews: one on the present
learning they are involved in using a pictorial metaphor
and just reading the words in my minds eye, then I will
do a one time research into the person before birth and
after birth the same way. I need to hear a verbal
answer from the client, yes or no clearly, due to the
fact that I frequently do not know what I am saying
since I am not the receiver of the information.
The verbal contact is crucial to any psychic medium or psychic
in order to know that they understand the messages. A
verbal response gives the psychic a plug-in similar to a
telephone operator.
Bob Olson: If you do events, seminars, workshops,
lectures or retreats, tell us about them. What are they
like, how often do you do them and how do people benefit
from attending them?
Pat McKenna: I have done
seminars, workshops, lectures and retreats covering
every subject of parapsychology, life after death, self
healing, intuition, dreams, working with color,
telepathy, out of body experiences, spirit connection,
spirit guides etc. for twenty years consistently and
have felt a great deal of gratitude from this work.

Pat McKenna: I phone the
