Bob Olson: What label or description do you give yourself when a stranger asks what you do for work?
Janet Moore: I prefer to be referred to as an Intuitive Tarot Reader. People can easily relate to that. They recognize my gift is also within themselves. I believe that helps them to feel comfortable with me.
Bob Olson: When did you first recognize that you had this gift?
Janet Moore: I first recognized my ability to connect with Spirit as a child, however, I did not realize that it was a gift until much later, my high school years.
Bob Olson: When did you begin doing this work professionally?
Janet Moore: I began my professional career as a reader part-time in 1988. I was reluctant to leave my job in medicine, which I loved, completely until 1995.
Bob Olson: Have you had any formal training or instruction for this work?
Janet Moore: I assume by "formal" you mean instruction from earth-bound teachers and therefore the answer is no. My teachers have been and continue to be my guides, my family and my pets.
Bob Olson: What other educational degrees, certifications or learned skills do you have that help you in this work?
Janet Moore: I believe my education and certification in medicine taught me true compassion. Medicine taught me to hear what the patient is not saying. It gave me a strong desire to look within for the answers to all the pain and suffering.
My certification in Hypnotherapy was part of my continued fascination with the mind and the power of thought. It has given me the ability to compose powerful positive affirmations. It has shown me how wonderful the subconscious mind is.
My Master Guide Thomas and other Beloved Guides have shown me the way to the mountain and the books of knowledge. They have taught me the value of silence and of listening. They also showed me the value of the Tarot.
My training in Feng Shui taught me the value of placement and energy within our lives.
My pets have taught me how to see and interpret the pictures they send. How to also listen to their voices.
My grandmother taught me how to listen to Loved Ones from the other side. And finally I have learned several skills from being a human being, living in this dimension and attending the school of hard knocks.
Bob Olson: What is your intention or motivation for doing this work?
Janet Moore: There are times when I feel my motivation is purely selfish. I have a strong need to use my gift. I feel better when I use my gift, it fills me up. My intention is to share what I have learned from my Guides; to help others connect with their Guides, whose motivation is purely Love; to show them that they are not alone; to show them that there is a tomorrow, a tomorrow with wonderful choices; to not to settle in life; to use their mind to create, for we are all co-creators every minute of every single day...why not do it purposely and enjoy.
Bob Olson: What do you find most fulfilling about this work that you do?
Janet Moore: So much of what I do is fulfilling. Just to think of the great people I have met, those I have become friends with, those I have loved. I guess if I had to just say one, it would have to be the introduction of Master Guides. More clients have reported back just how much this one introduction ended up changing their lives. They were never alone again. Always felt loved. Learned to listen for guidance. It has changed many lives.
Bob Olson: How long do your readings last and why did you choose this length of time?
Janet Moore: My readings last one hour. After many years of readings and careful analysis, I chose the one hour reading because it seems to offer the perfect balance of messages and time to answer any questions.
Bob Olson: What can one expect during a normal reading with you?
Janet Moore: A normal reading with me is as follows: 30 minutes prior to your reading I enter into a trance meditation where I connect with your Master Guide. We travel to the mountain where your Master Guide shares information about
himself. At the mountain we pull your personal book of records. I make note of any highlighted writings. When you call for your appointment I will relay this information uncensored to you. Then, with the help of our Master Guides, I will lay a Tarot spread. This will give you even more detailed information concerning what lies ahead in your path. At any time throughout the reading, you may ask any question or you may save it till the end. It is your reading, the decision is yours.
Bob Olson: How is a reading with you "similar" to what people see on TV with John Edward, Sylvia Browne or Char Morgolis?
Janet Moore: I believe the similarities in all readings is a connection with Spirit We all just have a difference in delivery. I too hear what is being said, interpret and deliver the message.
Bob Olson: How is a reading with you "different" to what people see on TV when John Edward gives a reading on his show "Crossing Over With John Edward?"
Janet Moore: My readings are different in that I introduce my clients to their Master Guides. Then they may begin to reap the benefits of acknowledging and working daily with their guides. I also spend quite a bit of time relaying messages from spirit of what lies ahead in a clients life. I believe Knowledge of what lies ahead is empowering, it allows clients to make more informed choices. I also like to help a client recognize the power of their words -- the internal dialogue that is creating their world.
Bob Olson: What instructions do you give new clients before a reading?
Janet Moore: Only that it is important that they call from a private and comfortable place. It always helps to have an open mind and an open heart. .Messages are given from spirit with love and their highest good is always considered. It is a good idea to have your questions written down, many times clients become excited and emotional and may forget to ask a question that is important to them.
Bob Olson: Is there anything about your gift or abilities that is unique from most other psychics or mediums?
Janet Moore: I guess you could say that everything about my reading is unique because I am unique. The same message given to two psychics will have two distinct deliveries. My clients have told me that the most unique aspect about my readings is love. They can feel love coming through the messages given, no judgments...just total acceptance. That is exactly how our Guides work. They have no need to prove themselves to us, for they will always be with us. In fact, we asked them to come along on this journey. They also like the book of records and ,well, they love the tarot too. I think maybe it's the combination of Guide introduction and messages, book of record messages and the tarot messages.
